Our auger systems are based on the Chore-Time centre-less spiral flight system which we believe to be the one of the best available in Europe and North America.

Augers can be provided in 50, 75, 90 and 120mm diameters and used to convey all types of livestock feed in distances up to 200 feet.

Augers can be supplied in many different formats to suit all needs, see below.

Auger Systems

Traditional milking parlour augers:

We supply and install auger systems for all types and makes of milking parlours including herring bone and rotary parlours.

Robotic milking parlour augers:

We have installed feed augers to several robotic milking parlours.

The complete package:

We have a good relationship with dairy engineers, allowing supply of a complete parlour installation: hopper, auger and parlour. Click here for further details.

Pig and goat unit augers:

We also supply and install our augers into pig units and goat parlours & sheds.

Batch feeder systems:

Over the past 10 years we have led the development of the use of flat rate drop batch feeders in milking parlours. This produces a very cost effective feeding system as it dispenses with the need for traditional complex and expensive parlour feeders.

The system provides a single level of feed for the entire heard and is released by a simple easy to operate hand pull cord located in the pit. This system has proved popular with block calving herds, and to date our largest system is within a 48-per side herring bone parlour.

Description:

Augers can be provided in 75, 90 and 120mm diameters and used to convey all types of livestock feed over distances up to 200 feet. To connect the auger to the outlet of hoppers we use either standard Chore-Time auger boxes or custom build the auger box to suit complex applications, which improves efficiency and life-span of the system.

Centre-less spiral augers have a relatively high capacity, therefore reducing running times while their simple nature means that there is no routine maintenance required and few parts that need replacing within the systems lifespan.

Our augers have 6 (1.8m) moulded radius corners allowing them to fit into most situations. The corners have increased tube thickness on the inside of the bend allowing extra wear and so increasing their life.

All feed outlet points can have shut off valves built into the pre formed outlet unit allowing individual outlets to be switched on/off depending upon stocking levels. Feed sensors are used to automatically switch the augers off therefore allowing the system to be left unsupervised.

Specialised systems:

Our augers can also be used for specialised applications, examples include:

A fertilizer pellet bucket filler line as shown in the picture to the left.

A road marking factory where our augers are used to convey various constituting materials into mixing tanks.

          Biomass pellet augers.
