N D Jeans Engineering Ltd was founded in 1982 by Nigel Jeans who started building bulk feed silos for Rowlands. Since then, the company has evolved into one of the leading manufacturers in the UK for bulk feed storage and conveying solutions.

Located in Somerset, N D Jeans Engineering Ltd supplies and installs an extensive range of bulk feed hoppers, silos, bins, auger systems and other allied equipment. We also relocate second hand hoppers and supply spare parts, whilst our haulage division has a fleet of lorries.

We remain a family run business and maintain the values it held from its inception to provide market leading service and products. The company’s reputation of providing durable equipment for livestock farmers has seen us extend throughout England, Wales, Scotland and the Channel Islands.

Meet the Team

Charles Jeans

Director

Charles joined in 2012 and became a director when the company was incorporated and has over 15 years engineering experience. He is in charge of the day to day running of both divisions. If you see him driving the companies first 44t artic ERF give him a wave!

In his spare time he enjoys spending it with his family and playing some golf.

Matt Lewis

Office Manager

Matt joined the company in 2020. He has over 20 years managerial experience in manufacturing, retail and supply chain.

He is a life-long Bath Rugby fan, you might catch sight of him paddle-boarding somewhere in Dorset

N.D Jeans Engineering Time Line

2012: Nigel’s son, Charles, joined the business full-time and our transport division began operating 7x 44t artics and 1x 18t lorry. The agile fleet move anything from import / export shipping containers to food distribution and flat-bed haulage as well as working on some top name sporting events.

2020: New position created for an office manager and we welcomed Matt to our family team, who is on hand to take your enquiries.

2021: We moved from where it began in Templecombe, to our purpose made manufacturing facility, a few miles away in Henstridge. We are still developing the site with a new office building, upgrading our equipment and constructing a larger assembly hall to keep up with demand in the upcoming years.
